Most of our sub clubs meet once a month. Members are allowed to attend as many sub clubs as they want! Non-members are allowed to attend one sub club before joining. Book club meets monthly to discuss the previous month's book choice. We read various genres, so you might read something you would not pick up otherwise. Our favorite last year was A Man Called Ove. Other great picks were The Girl on the Train and You: A Novel. Come expand your reading horizons!
This club is all about food and friends! We pick a new lunch spot each month. Sometimes we go to local favorites such as The Vault in Brodentown, but we also like to try new places, such as Distrito's, PF Chang's and Killarney's Pub. And of course we have our annual tea party! We hope to see you at the table!
This club has become one of our most popular! Each month there is a cooking or food theme, such as great grains, spring greens, "Munch" Madness, and chocolate and wine! Each member is asked to bring a dish that fits the current theme to share with the group. A fun twist is a mystery ingredient one person will need to use each month! Step out of your cooking comfort zone and try something new!
Come and play Bunco! Whether you/re an old pro or a newbie, Bunco is easy to learn and lots of fun! It is a simple dice game of chance, with a $5 contribution each month. You could be the big winner! Meetings are once a month at the Clubhouse.
This club can be whatever the group wants it to be! In the past, the group has gone to see new movies, to Peddler's Village, and to the Philadelphia German Christmas Market. Future ideas include going to Smithville Village, Cape May, exploring a beach town, or even going into the big city! Make the most of your time in New Jersey and let's explore the local area!
This is a new club! There are so many moms with young children here on base. Let's get together to have a little adult interaction while letting the kids socialize too! Ideas for this club include meet ups at local parks, in homes, or local restaurants with play areas.
This is a new club! Interested in your family tree? Want to trace your ancestry? Whether you are already on your way or are just getting started and need some help, this group is for you! Come together with others to discuss as you work to uncover your family history. This group meets once a month at the Base Library in the back computer room.
