Have a great idea for a new sub club?
We would love to hear about it! Join us and make it happen!
Most of our sub clubs meet once a month. Members are allowed to attend as many sub clubs as they want! Non-members are allowed to attend one sub club before joining. For more information on our sub clubs and their upcoming events, please visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/MDLSpouses/.
Book club meets monthly to discuss the previous month's book choice. We read various genres, so you might read something you would not pick up otherwise. Our favorite last year was A Man Called Ove. Other great picks were The Girl on the Train and You: A Novel. Come expand your reading horizons!
This club is all about food and friends! We pick a new lunch spot each month. Sometimes we go to local favorites such as The Vault in Bordentown, but we also like to try new places, such as Distrito's, PF Chang's and Killarney's Pub. And of course we have our annual tea party! We hope to see you at the table!
This club has become one of our most popular! Each month there is a cooking or food theme, such as great grains, spring greens, "Munch" Madness, and chocolate and wine! Each member is asked to bring a dish that fits the current theme to share with the group. Step out of your cooking comfort zone and try something new!
This club meets once a month at a member's house that is leading Game Night. We play all sorts of games and just have fun playing games while getting to know other members in a more casual and comfortable setting.
This club can be whatever the group wants it to be! In the past, the group has gone to see new movies, to Peddler's Village, and to the Philadelphia German Christmas Market. Future ideas include going to Smithville Village, Cape May, exploring a beach town, or even going into the big city! Make the most of your time in New Jersey and let's explore the local area!
There are so many moms with young children here on base. Let's get together to have a little adult interaction while letting the kids socialize too! Ideas for this club include meet ups at local parks, in homes, or local restaurants with play areas.
Bunco is a social dice game involving 100% luck and no skill (there are no decisions to be made), scoring and a simple set of rules. Members of of the Bunco Club take turns hosting, providing snacks, refreshments and the tables to set up the games. The host/hostess may also provide a door prize.
